Liturgical Commission

The Liturgical Commission helps with worship and sacraments and coordinates the people who participate in church ceremonies, including Mass, Penance and Communal services, Stations of the Cross, Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Sunday Vespers during Advent and Children's liturgies. 

Liturgical Roles:   Men, Women and Youth of our parish are called to serve as:

Eucharistic Ministers: Assist at Mass by giving others the Body and Blood of Christ. These persons need to be confirmed.

Lectors: Help with announcements and proclaim the first and second readings at Mass

Ushers: Extend Christian hospitality and seating to parishioners and visitors in Church or the Activity Center.  This does not need to be an every week commitment.

Altar Servers: Assist at Sunday Masses and other services.

Greeters: Extend a warm welcome to those arriving for weekend Masses.

Music Ministry Enhance the Mass with music by participating in one of the following groups -- Adult Choir, Jr. Choir, Cantors, Instrumentalists, Folk Group (10:30AM BBPC) or the Handbell Choirs ( Adult and Youth).

Children's Liturgy of the Word Leaders provide Scripture stories to children during the homily of the 10:30AM BBPC Mass. This is on a rotating schedule.

Mass Coordinator: Help in; the preparation of the Mass by setting up the altar and ensuring all needed items, such as linens and Eucharist are ready for Mass.

Sacristy Cleaners/Altar Linens: Launder and iron the linens for the church as needed. Clean the Sacristy once every 8 weeks and Laundry once every 8 weeks.

Eucharistic Ministers to the sick: Bring the Body and Blood of Christ to those unable to join us at Mass.
